Basic presuppositions

A beginning, checking my suppositions

Basic Presuppositions: over arching themes, Back drop, frame work,these will affect every and any topic directly.

1) Any correct understanding of anything must start with what God’s word has said. You cannot use any outside faith as judge over God, or what he has said. Anything that is contrary to Gods Word is a form of Humanistic thinking and a counterfeit religion. God and his word are the Uber ultimate authority source.

I am not laying out the biblical argument on some of these presuppositions, as it has been done in so many ways, with our emails. The topic goes deep really fast and is at the heart of worldview and all else. If someone really doesnt have a handle on why this is truth, or doesnt think something has ever been established, just say so. All rock bottom positions that you must stand on, become faith, religous positions. Science cannot be used to prove these. It is outside the realm of science,something observable,testable, repeatable etc.

Even the most atheistic, when pressed, admit that certain positions of theirs are just how it is, (everyone knows it), and must be believed. They dont think this is hypocrtical of them because they dont think they are religous,they are men of reason, thinking people, its just you Jesus people that are religous.

When you point this out to them it really, really bugs them. So its good to remind them about it as often as you can. Recomendation: Call them men of faith, or religous fanatics maybe even TV Evangelists.
